A.
For us, a small move is moving furniture around your house. Or moving
one item or several items from one address to another.
Or furniture
removals of a one or two-bedroom place. Or an office move, up to
a three or four person office.
2.How early should I book?
A.
Generally at least a week before you want to move, although sometimes
we are able to offer next day service.
3.What areas does Easy Moving work?
A.
We are based on the north side of Sydney, although we're happy
to go all over Sydney.
We also
go to the Blue Mountains, Central Coast, Hunter Valley, Newcastle,
Southern Highlands, South Coast. Plus of course, we go to Melbourne
once a week.
4.
Can we take away rubbish for you?
A.
We can take away old furniture and other 'clean' rubbish for you.
Tip fees apply as well as some money for our time. Please be aware
the various rubbish tips around Sydney do charge alarmingly high
rates for disposal.
A.
At the end of your move, on the day of the move. We accept cash,
or a cheque if pre-arranged. Sorry, we don't accept credit cards.
Interstate moves over $700 require payment in cash of half the balance
before departure, and the balance upon arrival.
6.
What insurance cover do you have?
A. We're
removalists not insurance agents. It's not legal for us to charge
you extra for insurance.
You are
however, covered by our existing insurance policies at no additional
cost. We have insurance for goods in transit and public liability.
7.
What is a back load?
A. The
term back load originally referred to a load that a truck could
get on a return trip somewhere, rather than travelling home empty.
These days some removalists use the term to refer to their regular
removal services, because some people think they will get a backload
cheaper than a proper removalist.
8.
Can you move using public transport?
See The
Chaser comedy video here.
Our
Rates
For
local moves we charge on a per hour basis, rounded to the nearest
quarter-hour. Our rates
include gst already, and we charge a minimum
of one hour.
We
add a half-hour charge on jobs over one hour long, to help cover
the cost of driving our truck and men to and from your job.
Blue Mexican interstate and country moves prices vary
depending on circumstances, but are based on how much space
your things take up in the truck.
Sydney
to Melbourne $85 cubic metre, Melbourne to Sydney $75 cubic
metre.
